For the first time, I used Twitter to participate in a discussion rather than as a tool to just inform people of what I was doing. Every monday, an education chat goes on, and my classmate Pedro pulled me in last Monday. It was great to share my opinion and to network with people everywhere in the world. This week's topic was family engagement in education. Now, I will start to get involved in the discussions every week, including tomorrow at 7:30 PM GMT-5.

"Keys to developing soccer in Peru"
The UPC invited three FDR students to a seminar that had as its main focus discussing the keys to develop soccer in Peru. Luckily, I got the opportunity to attend and hear from experts such as teachers who teach the Sports Marketing career at UPC and world class sport commentator Juan Pablo Varsky along Boca Juniors marketing manager Pablo Rohde. It was amazing how they answered every question the press asked them. Not only what they said but how they did make them seem much better. I can highlight Varsky's explanation of Peru having a team but not a squad, being the main reason for which we haven't qualified to the World Cup since qualifiers were changed to long term (2 year) competition in 1990. Also, I appreciated his metaphor of their job from Tuesdays to Friday's being as describing a rainbow. Amazing experience to hear from these experts' point of view.
