The problem is that we are not getting a significant amount of readers per article (150) to serve meaningfully our community which is a main goal. In order to do so, we want to go through a process of rethinking completely our image and our brand followed by selling and delivering our product to a large audience. We are looking forward to conducting advertising campaigns and getting people from other schools to write for our newspaper. In order to this, we will start contacting english teachers from schools like Markham and San Silvestre to propose our project.
After analyzing several definitions and thoughts I can remark the following:
- Marketing is about creating needs: When a product is not made to serve or facilitate a group of people in some way, they focus on profit and they make products that will sell quickly and that will be lucrative.
- Make stuff people want: Again, making products that you know people will buy. In this case, a more effective thought would be "make people want stuff", and then they become perfect consumers and you would sell a larger volume, but this isn't the idea we are aiming to achieve.
- Marketing is about the relationship you create with the client through your brand and image: This is what we want to achieve, to redesign our product. And later on, create several campaigns to deliver it to many people of our demographic. Our service is about providing positive news to people aged 15-25, in which we have no focus in money.
After this analysis time, I have started brainstorming ideas, I will keep you updated through my blog with the work I do and what I achieve while working in this project.
