The beauty of this exploration is that no matter the question given to a group of people undergoing the activity, each individual--without taking into account the clarity he has about the concept--can take something out of it. The purpose of any exploration is always to get a clearER idea of who you are and who you want to be--always understanding why.
So no matter where we are in this infinite journey of finding meaning to our life's and achieving true happiness, all of us in the IA are going to develop in the upcoming two weeks as we iterate through our lives.
Just to give an overview, I kind of have an idea of who I am and who I want to be. I still need to truly understand what it takes to be who I want to be and then find a method that transforms me into it. Yes. It's going to be hard. But the fact that I know it is possible makes it more viable. And the magic comes in when we speak about how we're going to do things. I kind of know that I want to develop the problem solving capacity of an engineer at college and then get into the soccer industry with an overall goal of improving the sport's culture in the country and as a result bring happiness to millions. However, the way I can change soccer at the moment is not the same way that will work 10 or 20 years from now. Things change. Even if I go broader, into the methods rather than technical details, those can't be defined if I will apply them 10 years from now. I extremely value the old-fashioned values I've been taught as I grew up. In our time, these are scarce. Consequently, I view them as key in any project I take on. However, if these values become common (something I don't imagine), my methods would have less potential in being the ones which actually can have a large impact on society.
This is the beauty of vision. Knowing what will be vital in the future. Once you are aware of your vision, convinced of your ideas and surrounded by people who have an aligned vision and thought; there are high chances of succeeding.
This is what I hope to do in these upcoming weeks. Minimize the dependence of success in luck by understanding the meaning of life and the road to happiness.
