As in every year, our schools participates in the ADCA tournament in which most of the times we are the most successful school. This year, I had the opportunity of playing with guys two years older than me, permitting me to gain more experience as a player. Definitely, our goal as a team was to win the cup. This time, this was not the only thing that mattered. I also wanted to play well, and to have fun while on the pitch. Unluckily, after playing just the first game, I got serious injury problem in the hamstring. Moreover I still went to every game we played and filmed them, to show the team were we could improve. Sadly, we lost the final against our rival with a horrible 4-0 defeat. Even though we did not meet our goals, I do remark I learnt a lot of things from the sideline. I do believe things happen for a reason, and in this moment from outside the pitch I was able to note what we did good and what we did not, and this will improve my mental skills as a player by being familiar with these situations and I will be able to make the correct choices while playing. Knowing that "El futbol SIEMPRE te da revanchas", I will wait for my chance in the following tournament, to apply my learning and to help others, to lead our team into achieving our objectives.

Amazingly, we have already been proposed to do some field work that is totally relevant to what our vision states. We have the chance of managing one of the sections of the most read online peruvian newspaper in english. The Break is the blog section of Peru This Week, one of the categories of Peru In English, one of the top sections of the well known Peru.com website. Linked to peruvians most famous newspaper, El Comercio, we have the chance to start writing, editing and publishing articles about anything interesting that happens in Lima. We already started giving up some ideas and dividing some tasks, it seems that I will be working as a reporter of the sports section. It is a great opportunity to get experience on everything, this is related to every topic; English, Business and even Media. Hope to do well on this job and keep getting new and potential challenges.

During June 9th, we spent our first day as a group with the mission of getting to know more about each other and have and discuss our ideas of how we could build up classes. We had an active day, starting with a 5k race to raise awareness and help the down syndrome kids in Peru, followed by biking around Barranco and a visit to the MAC (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo) and tied up with some horseback riding at Mamacona. In between every activity, we had time to reflect on important concepts that will be vital for the development of this academy, with "What is innovation?" and "Why is innovation important?" being the starred themes.
After this day, no member of Innovation Academy has doubts that he will enjoy these two upcoming years of the Innovation Academy, and every detail of the activities we experienced today make it unforgettable.
