During our winter break, each IA student needs to create a habit for a period of 30 days. In my case, I'm not looking forward to becoming better in any activity I practice regularly. Otherwise, I want to start a habit that has always been really difficult for me.
This habit is reading. I've set a goal to read between two or three books this summer and make this part of my daily life. Why? Reading is the best way to improve English skills; something I've started to value and I am determined to improve on it. With all this idea of habits and growth, the first book I'll be reading is Mindset, that compares fixed vs growth mindset and teaches us "how we can learn to out fill our potential". Aside from learning because of reading it, this book will convince me that even though if something isn't your strength, through passion and effort it can become.
Then, I'll continue reading books about my passion, to increase motivation and with the sole purpose of improving my diction, grammar and all other English-related skills. First, I'll read The Nowhere Men, a book that tells the story of how the most famous soccer talents were discovered. Then, I'll read either Pep Guardiola - Another Way of Winning or Marcelo Bielsa - Loco por el Futbol.
